Earth Day Fun & U Choose Giveaway Reminder

Wanted to share some Earth Day Fun that we've been having in April...

But before I do that...wanted to remind you to head on over and enter the $25 U Choose Giveaway! You can get there by clicking the pic...

Some bloggy buddies and I have some freebies for you, so make sure you read all the way through...

I have two freebies for you...one is a sample of a new printable from Common Core Crunch - May, which is Coming Soon...Real soon! Click the pic to download and then head down for your other freebie.

Don't you love Krista Wallden's clip art

I also am so in love with Kim Geswein's font "KG Be Still and Know" which is in the title & directions.

The other font is from the fab Jen Jones of Hello Literacy. It's called "HelloMissThang" and you will receive it when you purchase her commercial font pack.

For another freebie I have a little craftivity...the pic with Earth is not my original idea...I KNOW I saw it somewhere and have spent serious time trying to figure out where I saw it...shoulda pinned it when I saw it so I could cite the source easily. If you know, can ya please tell me? I'll update and give credit. I'm sort of obsessed with giving credit...
Yes...her Earth is upside down. Oops.

Teacher directions are included in the Google Doc download which you can access by clicking here.

For Earth Day, we have been using Katie Knight's Easy Ecology pack and it is fab-boo!!! I love Katie's interactive booklets and her fluency passages! She is one of my bloggy besties and I just love that girl!

We've also used Lyndsey Kuster's wonderful "You've Got the Whole World In Your Hands" pack...

And, I just won Cara Carroll's It's a Wonderful World pack on her facebook giveaway!!! So, I'll be using some of that fabulousness, next week! Lucky, lucky me!

  1. Love your craftivity! The graphic is so powerful! (I have no idea where you found the graphic, but it's awesome, and so are you for working to give appropriate credit). My kinders have enjoyed learning about how our Earth can and should be treated with TLC. Thank you so much!

  3. Great ideas, Lisa. My first graders are in the middle of a poetry unit, so we've been writing acrostic, list and shape poems about the earth. I will post a freebie on my blog later (right now, my kids are waiting for me to go outside). Our next Foss unit is called Plants, and I am starting it this week. It will tie in nicely with Earth Day. My son is in 2nd grade, and his class is having an Earth Day picnic with their 5th grade buddy class. They are to pack their lunch in containers that can either be reused or recycled. I enjoy reading your blog-great ideas!
